Netra and I had and amazingly warm reception when we visited ROTARY CLUB OF JERSEY CITY, NJ, USA today 30 May 2013.
President Sharon welcomed us. Rtn.Steve , who is Secretary/Treasurer hosted us for luncheon.

The meeting began with a sincere prayer. This was followed by club announcements. Then an interesting round of HAPPY DOLLAR where Rotarians present donate a dollar to the cause of ROTARY for a reason to be happy today. Quite a few said they are happy because we are visiting. This made our heart feel good.
The President and I then exchanged our club flags , which was appreciated by all.
The speaker of the day was Rtn. Linda who talked about her visit to Nepal and a project they did for women welfare there.
I spoke for a few minutes about our RIVER DISTRICT 3131 star project of ROTARY DISTANCE EDUCATION PROGRAM , www.rdep.org.

I also thanked the club and especially Sharon and Steve for the ROTARY spirit of friendship and camraderie shown by them.

RC of Jersey City was founded in 1916.I feel proud to have visited a club of such long standing from the formative years when Rtn.Paul Harris started the very idea of ROTARY. I realise that it's this long term commitment to human development and international fellowship amount Rotarians that has helped ROTARY INTERNATIONAL to achieve stupendous results likely eradicating POLIO from the face of planet earth itself.
